​1.) SOLAR PANELS collect solar energy and convert it to electric energy in a form of Direct Current or DC (Same electricity used in charging cellphones, laptops and batteries).

2.) INVERTER changes Direct Current or DC into Alternating Current or AC (Same electricity that comes out of our electrical outlets used to power most of our appliances such as TV's, Refrigerators, Airconditioners, Lights etc.).

3.) ELECTRIC METER from utility company like MERALCO slows down or stops when electricity from the solar energy system provides the electricity needed for the building. It will only provide electricity that the solar energy system cannot provide.

4.) MAIN PANEL BOARD is where electricity produced from the solar energy system and electricity from the grid (MERALCO) meet. It is also where the Circuit Breakers are located. The electricity required for each circuit is distributed here.

5.) ELECTRICAL LOADS such as TV's, Refrigerators, Airconditioners, Lights are powered by either the Solar energy system or the grid (eg. MERALCO).
